Magazine Articles Featuring the Guild

I thought it might be a good idea to start this thread for those of us who cant always get hold of the miniature and doll magazines on a regular basis.
As you all know I am in regular contact with all of the publications and never miss an opportumity to get the Guild and all our members featured !
If anyone had any photos of their work they are particularly proud of please let me have them as I always accompany my letters and emails to the editors with as many photos as possible to the magazines can take their pick

Doll Advertiser 2008 20th Edition

At Miniatura I was delighted to be able to speak at length to the dolls house magazine. They were so impressed with our table and the standard of all the members work and an article is planned for an upcoming issue. It was lovely to be able to show so many dolls from different members and the standard of even the novice members work was commended.
I felt so proud to be part of such a wonderful group of artists and friends and be able to actively promote every one of us !
I am really looking forward to the article coming out. I will of course scan it through for anyone unable to get hold of it.

WOW Julie, this thread is a great idea, to be honest, its money i just have to spend elsewhere, but would love to be able to collect the mags as they come out, but it just aint gonna happen, lol
so for me this is a great way to share what happens for the guild, that I usually wouldnt get to see. so thanks for another of your bright ideas..............lesley xox

Well done you its great for the guild and lets people know we are all out there too.
I love this thread as i have little idea what mags are even out there to buy, so its very informative as well on that side of it...will empty my purse quicker each month or so though

Thanks very much for doing this Julie...it's lovely to be able to share moments of triumph with everyone...we have very poor selections of magazines in Brackley one horse town that it is!! I don't always know which ones to ask for so this way if we know what's in a particular one we can order them if we want. Brilliant!!

Congratulations - great coverage. I've just got my copy of D H Mag as I've got an ad in this one - haven't been able to find the other so it was super to be able to see it. All in all the guild is getting really good results. Thanks to you all. Robin

Has anyone seen the article that DHW done at Miniatura...have I missed it or not??? I get so confused with the different magazines..it is Dolls House World isnt it?!!! My buyer of the Mad Hatter wants to know what its in and when!

Jane, They emailed me one day last week for a photo of my doll I had in the Miniatura Guide for the article they're doing so I don't think it's out yet,

Jane, "The Dolls House Magazine" was the one that took away the dolls to photograph and took the photos of members for the article. I gave her lots of information about the guild .
DHMS did come over too so hopefully we'll be in both

Yes Jane, sorry they are obviously all doing articles. I usually get mine saved by my newsagent and they haven't come in yet. I think DHW is due out tomorrow.

I think thats way this page/thread works really well, theres just so many out there. Im like jane and still fairly new to actual posable doll side of it and so this is really helpful.

I tend to keep a track of the mags as I am in contact with the editors so much and usually know when and where there will be a bit about the guild as they let me know but sometimes I just email club news and its hit or miss wether its featured.
its a great way of getting free advertising for the guild though so I never let too long go past without sending in some news
The way printing goes I think anything printed about miniatura will be in next months issues but you never know I could be wrong !

when we were at miniatura I asked at the Dolls house world stand when the mag with the miniatura coverage will be out and they said it would be in the one that comes out in May

Morning all, I just picked up Dolls House World from my newsagent this morning. The Miniatura Review is in there but I can't see any mention of the BMDG, I've only done a quick scan though.

On the upside I've got three dolls in their Bridal feature and it mentions I'm a member.
